Let’s be real:

We all have the occasional tiff with our families, but imagine being stuck with them 24/7. Well, for most of us, that’s a reality during COVID-19. Normally when you’re living with your family you have space, you can see friends, go to work, etc. Now there is no separation from them and it can drive you CRAZY.

From not cleaning up after themselves, to leaving the toilet seat up, these might be things that usually don’t bother you, but when you’re stuck with someone the little things can build up and make you feel like you’re going crazy.

We’ve put together a few tips to control this crazy feeling:

  • Meditation – A great way to de-stress your mind and body. Namaste!
  • Speak to a friend – They might be feeling the same. Speaking to others can help you to release stress and make you realize you’re not alone. There is a thing as TMI.
  • Exercise –Your body will produce endorphins which make you happy. Endorphins act as a natural painkiller in your body. A few times a week helps.
  • Be positive – If you think negative you will feel negative. They say that the way you think will determine how you feel, so be positive. Walk the walk.

In some cases, lockdown can be a great way of bonding with your family members. If you don’t usually spend time together, you now have a chance to do so. There are many activities which you can do together as a family to keep yourself occupied and while having a bit of fun. You never know, your family might be feeling just as crazy as you are.
